Job Specification:
Diploma inMechanical/Metallurgical Engineering with relevant qualifications from AWS orCSWIP or PCN.
Min 6 yrs experiencein inspection of weld joints, interpretation of radiographs...
Shall be fully conversantwith ASME Section IX and AWS Codes.

Job responsibilities:
* Visually verifying that the incoming materials have met the requirements for welding works, such
as quality and dimensional tolerance levels, witnessing qualifying tests for welders as required.
* Taking part as an internal independent party to conduct inspection of such nature.
* Conduction inspection and tests on fixtures, structures and other installation works, in line
with the ASME and ANSI codes at work-sites.
* Preparing and compiling quality, inspection and non-conforming reports throughout project, and
follow up on necessary corrective actions.
* Monitoring the performance of welders, while implementing and monitoring proper storage and usage
procedures for welding tools and equipment.
* Checking of NDT and other test reports, viewing and interpretation of radiography films, etc.
Requirements:
* 2 - 5 years relevant experience.
* NDE 2nd level certificate, 3rd level welding specialist certificate.
Preferably Arabic/English speaking staff with experience of Iraqi oil and gas projects. The project
will last till 2015.

Job Description
Welding Inspector shall be certified AmericanWelding Society CWI, CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector or acceptable equivalent.
Inspector shall be conversant with and have a demonstrated background ofInternational Codes such as ASME Sections V, VIII and IX, API 1104, 620 and650, ANSI B31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, AWS D1.1 as required for they type of work tobe undertaken.
Inspector shall also be able to demonstrate full understanding of Base andFiller Materials, Welding Processes, Procedure and Welder Qualification, DefectTypes, Causes and Avoidance.
When N.D.E. is included in the duties then qualifications and experience shallinclude those stipulated in paragraph 7.10.

Responsibilities --------------------------
- Responsible for weld inspection.
- Ensure that the requirements for all weld, welder and welding activities are correctly specified and carried out in accordance with the relevant codes, client specifications and contract standards.
- Arrange all mechanical testing in the Lab including witness of Client and Certified agency.
- Develop new welding techniques, methods and procedures with the Welders to enhance the productivity.
Requirement --------------------------
- Diploma or Degree preferably in Engineering with minimum 3 years relevant exp preferably in Oil and Gas Industries.
- Must have CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certification or equivalent.
- Familiar with codes AWS D1.1., ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX etc and possess experience with various materials.
